This publication is an addition to the current search for better ways to attract investment into least developed economies and create synergy with other forms of development assistance. The OECD workshop it is based on brought together WBCSD member companies, NGOs, and government officials. It mainly touched upon the conditions of local governance that draw investors to host countries, and the recommendations that address the broader context of investors’ ethics and behavior, multilateral frameworks and partnerships between private and public actors in both the North and the South.
