The aim of this publicaton is to promote the production and consumption of cleaner packaging alternatives in Kenya, to formulate a policy proposal in collection, transport, disposal and reuse of polythene bags, to raise awareness of the problems relating to polythene bags, and support the development of environmentally friendly bags, as well as to assist other policymakers wishing to successfully implement sustainable policy packages in the waste sector.
