Climate Action is an international communication platform established by Sustainable Development International in partnership with the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) to educate businesses, governments and NGOs as to what they can do to reduce their carbon footprint and adapt to the impacts of climate change. Further, the high-profile publication and supporting website will assist institutional investors in analysing and comparing companies that are responding to the business risks and opportunities resulting from global warming.
Launched around the United Nations Climate Change Conference, Climate Action is officially supported by five influential organisations concerned with the successful mitigation of climate change: Ceres (and its Investor Network on Climate Risk), FTSE4Good, The Carbon Trust and the Pew Center on Global Climate Change. With authors including Ban Ki-moon, Dr Rajendra Pachauri, Sir Nicholas Stern, Eileen Claussen, Mindy Lubber, Paul Dickinson and Hans Jurgen Stehr, the publication promotes multi-stakeholder dialogue between government and international industry, and highlights the sharing of best practice while raising awareness of the latest market trends, threats and opportunities in response to rising global temperatures. |
