Information and communication technologies (ICTs) are ‘enabling’ tools that can help rural communities in ACP countries to capitalise on emerging opportunities, especially in education and income generations. To follow the 5th CTA Observatory Meeting and various recent CTA initiatives on gender, this report promotes better access to ICTs for women. A handful of case studies demonstrate how women benefit from, amongst other examples, rural information centres and local radio networks.
