Recent international experience has demonstratedthat Integrated Assessment (IA) can contribute to sustainable development outcomes by makingassessment practice more integrated in terms of sustainability dimensions, more proactive and opportunity-oriented, less procedural and more anintegral part of a policymaking process.

This book is designed to enable policy and decision makers, policy analysts, and other actors involved in policy making processess to appreciate the full value of Integrated Policymaking in its environmental, social and economic dimensions.
